1. Why should we visit the South Shore rather than the famous North Shore?
You should definitely visit the North Shore where you will find Anne of Green Gables and a variety of amusement parks. The North Shore is less than 30 minutes away, however, the North Shore beaches are not the red beaches that you see featured on all the famous PEI panoramic views. Recently the South Shore was appropriately renamed the Red Sands. The water on the North Shore is the Atlantic Ocean and is generally colder and rougher than the more protected, smaller body of water on the South Shore, the Northumberland Strait.
2. How far are you from the Confederation Bridge?
We are a mere 20 minutes from the bridge. There are so many scenic vistas en route that it will seem like much less. Here are the locations of the 5 best places to take pictures of the bridge:

3. How far is your establishment from the City of Charlottetown?
We are very centrally located and only 30 minutes to Summerside and Cavendish and 12-15 minutes to Charlottetown. Unlike a drive in a large metropolis, there is rarely traffic and the scenery is breathtaking.
4. What kind of restaurants are available in Charlottetown?
If you choose not to prepare your own meal or dine at Bonshaw Breezes, there are numerous exceptional restaurants in town. Mexican, Chinese, Lebanese, Italian, and several Seafood establishments are just a few of the many excellent possibilities.
5. What kind of entertainment can be found in Charlottetown?
World class theatre at the Confederation Centre, ceildhs, harbour cruises, an evening at the Charlottetown Driving Park Entertainment Centre, and seal watching are but a few of the many options. There is always lots to do!
6. What are the nearest attractions to Bonshaw Breezes?
The Car Life Museum on the Trans Canada Highway, in Bonshaw, celebrates the history of the vehicle: from farm machinery to automobiles. It includes a Cadillac owned by Elvis Presley.
Bonshaw Amusement Park is very popular with my guests and is also located in Bonshaw on the Trans Canada Highway. Generations of families have enjoyed go-karts, bumper boats, miniature golf, the play and picnic park, and the souvenir shop.
7. What is the closest park to Bonshaw Breezes?
Bonshaw Provincial Park is located on the Trans Canada Highway, within the Charlotte’s Shore touring region. Bonshaw is a day use park featuring a playground, fishing, and picnic facilities. Pets are permitted on leash. Just two minutes away!
Argyle Shore Provincial Park is located on route 19, Argyle Shore is a mere 5 minute drive from Bonshaw Breezes. This day use park offers an unsupervised beach, playground equipment, picnic facilities, showers, and flush toilets. Pets are permitted on leash.
Strathgartney Provincial Park offers an excellent location near all the main attractions. Borden-Carleton, Summerside, and Cavendish are all only a half-hour away and Charlottetown is a 15 minute drive. Strathgartney has one of the most beautiful scenic views of all the provincial parks located high on a hill overlooking the Strathgartney River. At the park you can enjoy a walk on the nature trail, or play a round of frisbee golf.
8. What is the closest golf club to Bonshaw Breezes?
It is worthwhile to note that there are 3 courses less than a 20 minute drive from Bonshaw Breezes: Dog River Golf Club, Glen Afton Golf Course, and Country View Golf Club. Belvedere Golf Club and Fox Meadow Golf and Country Club are 20 minutes away. Summerside Golf and Country Club, Glasgow Hills Resort and Golf Club, and Anderson’s Creek Golf Club are within 30 minutes. The remaining courses are approximately a 45 minute drive.
9. What is the closest town to Bonshaw Breezes?
Cornwall is a small town with a post office, medical clinic, dental clinic, churches, liquor store, grocery store, bakery, pharmacy and food outlets such as: Tim Horton’s, Subway, Greco Pizza, Pizza Delight, ice cream parlours, and more!
Victoria is a quaint, little, must-see village on the Northumberland Strait that features several restaurants, artisans, candle makers, chocolate shop, and the Victoria Playhouse Theatre to name a few.

St. Catherines Cove Canoe Rental Inc. is located West off Route 9, on St. Catherines Road. Paddle the tidal West River into the Bonshaw Hills. By The Sea Kayaking is located in Victoria. Explore the Island's coastal bays and inlets. Daily, natural and historical interpretive tours conducted from Victoria-by-the-Sea. Paddle and dining excursions are available with Paddler's Pub. Custom tour packages are available.
South Shore Bike Rentals is located 5 km from Confederation Bridge and 2.8 km from the Confederation Trail. Adult and children's bikes, bike buddies and vehicle car racks available. Ask about our delivery and pick-up service.
Smooth Cycle (Charlottetown) is four blocks from the Confederation Trail. Professional repairs, friendly service. Large assortment of clothing and accessories for the outdoors. 11. How long has Bonshaw Breezes Bed and Breakfast been open for business?
We moved to PEI in the Fall of 2004 and began the busy business of setting up our B&B. After months of work we officially opened in the spring of 2005. Since then Bonshaw Breezes has become a multiple award winning Bed and Breakfasst and word of mouth and repeat business has helped us grow our business exponentially.
12. What age group does Bonshaw Breezes most appeal to?
Ww have had guests as young as newborn through to their 70's. Singles, couples, families we have had every combination of age, grouping and ethnicity and welcome and enjoy each visit as much as if it were our first.
