Relax to the max!”
I found this beautiful B & B thought the PEI tourism web site. Booking was extremely easy this way, giving both dates available and current links to sites that I required. Our hosts were extremely helpful right from the start, providing directions, etc. The photos on their web page are exactly as you will find the B & B, spectacular. They were very helpful with suggestions for my vacation, providing information about good restraunts, (Lot 30 in Charlettown-you have got to go there!!) and suggesting must do's while visiting this gorgeous island. My room was simply extraordinary, "The Morning Glory". Spotlessly clean and fresh. Lots of towels provided, along with robes and footwear to access the hot tub. So many little extras in the room too: candles, bath oils, lotions, flowers, beautiful decorations and a new stain glass piece hung in the window. Candles burning upon arrival. I found the location very quiet and romantic. Great place for a honeymoon or aniversary. Breakfast and service was also very good, they are very accomodating to their guests. I would definately return to Bonshaw Breezes next time I vacation in PEI.

My wife and I in the midst of planning a weekend getaway to PEI let our fingers do the walking and 'googled' our way to Bonshaw Breezes. Based upon numerous favorable reviews we booked a three night stay, and we were not disappointed.
Sharon and Dave are amazing hosts, very friendly and outgoing ensuring you have everything you need to make your stay a great one. They provided maps, tourism information, weather insights, and 'personal knowledge' of the local cuisine, offering to go as far as making dinner reservations on our behalf.
Supper was amazing! Upon our arrival we had arranged to have a 3 course meal at Bonshaw Breezes. Presentation was superb, taste was fantastic and portion size fit for a king. We were really impressed with the attention to detail paid towards using locally grown fresh elements in all prepared dishes, a true taste of PEI. It was one of the highlights of our stay, our only regret was not having Sharon and Dave prepare all our dinners.
Room was inviting! We stayed three evenings in the 'Morning Glory' Suite. The intent of our stay was a romantic relaxing environment and this room was perfect. The room was clean with nice decor. The bed was plush and comfortable, the towels, facecloths and other products of highest quality. The five piece bath, paired with the large jacuzzi was definitely a nice way to relax after a long day. The walk-out deck was also nicely decorated and inviting, a great space to watch an early sunrise or evening sunset.
Breakfast is amazing! I typically am a grab and go coffee drinker when it comes to breakfast, I'm glad I wasn't in this instance. Breakfast was served in 3 courses and was simply astounding. Flavorful with every bite, and extremely filling to the point that lunch wasn't a possibility until mid-afternoon.
We had a great stay and would gladly recommend Bonshaw Breezes to our friends. There is such incredible value for such nice accommodations, amazing meals and warm hosts

We stayed 2 nights in the Heavenly Morning Glory room (w/actual morning glories right outside) on our first visit to PEI. Sharon & Dave proved to be excellent hosts to us as the only guests. They helped up plan our sightseeing outings and dining. The breakfasts were full and very tasty with mostly local ingredients. The view from the balcony was a beautiful pastoral scene. Our room in this modern B&B was good sized with a very spacious bath including jet tub, shower, and dual lavatories. We used the complementary laundry facilities which saved us a lot of time and trouble. Central Charlottetown is 20-30 minutes away for dining. Many establishments were closed for the season in early October or soon would be. The B&B is centrally located in PEI for day trips

My husband and I were on a whirlwind book tour and when we arrived at Bonshaw Breezes we were jet lagged and stressed...we spent 4 wonderful days with Dave and Sharon and by the time we left we were totally relaxed. They go above and beyond...from the wonderful breakfasts each morning to the amenities in the very comfortable rooms. It is truly a home away from home, and we would highly recommend staying at Bonshaw Breezes next time you visit PEI...

The hospitality and accommodations were second to none. Sharon and Dave were exceptional hosts and put so much effort into making sure everything was perfect and our every need was met. They are both great people and I would HIGHLY recommend this B&B when you visit Prince Edward Island.

"Heavenly place on Prince Edward Island”
Date of review: Sep 28, 2010
My husband and I recently spent one night at Bonshaw Breezes. We immediately regretted not reserving more time there. From the moment we arrived, Sharon and Dave made us feel so welcome and comfortable (as if we were long time friends). Their home sits on top of a hill with amazing views of Prince Edward Island along with nice cool breezes. Sharon and Dave have thought of every detail: chocolates in our room, along with a refrigerator with cool bottled water, to the cozy robes and flip flops to use at the jacuzzi, to Sharon's delicious homemade breakfast, to the special shampoo, shower gel and lotion which is made locally on the island, to the most comfortable bed (the best nights' sleep we had on our vacation), to current newspapers each day and french doors off our room which opened onto a deck with blooming morning glories! Sharon has her own garden and also uses locally grown items in her menus. Sharon and Dave gave us good recommendations for places to be sure to see while we were there (we only had two days) and wonderful places to eat our dinners and lunch. We felt so fortunate to have been able to travel to Prince Edward Island, but our memories of the island are highlighted by our time at Bonshaw Breezes.

From the time of arrival to the time we had to leave, Sharon and Dave could not have been better hosts. They assisted in helping us plan a truly memorable trip to PEI, our first. If a B&B is to be like a "home away from home", I want to move there! Our day started out with a delicious gourmet breakfast, made right there by Sharon. Coming back in the evening after a day of travelling, wonderful smells greeted us, along with our hosts! Our room was very spacious and beautifully decorated, and we had access to a large deck, where we could sit and relax. We are hopeful that we will return some day soon.

We stayed in the Lady Slipper suite for 5 days the end of July - The accomodations were better than we could have imagined. The suite is quite new - and spotlessly clean - It was like having our own little apartment on PEI - We did not get to meet the innkeepers as they were away for the week, but were lucky to have met Donna and Jim - the innsitters for the week. They were wonderful. Great company, easy to relax with and Jim was an excellent cook.

Our stay at Bonshaw was perfect! Dave and Sharon made us feel like family right away and everything about the place was a home away from home! It was the perfect balance of privacy, peace and quiet, and commorodery with other travellers. When I called Sharon to book earlier in the year I was amazed at how even within a few minutes she knew what kind of "vacationer" I was and what would suit me best. She advised me out of my plan to stay at multiple B&B's but narrow it down to only 2. She was right! This couple knows travllers. As we sat around the breakfast table with other families/couples it was so neat to hear them advising them differently based on their own particular travelling styles. This couple knows people very well! Our room was amazing! And the view? Whoa! Breathtaking. You can tell Dave & Sharon really care about the place and the people. They go out of their way to make your stay with them and on the island something memorable. The food was also 5 stars. They used all local foods and everything was a wonderful trear! Another wonderful feature is tha it is centrally located on the island so it's close to EVERYTHING! At most it's 30 mintute drive to most "hot spots" on the island. We had such an amazing time with Dave and Sharon that before we even left we were planning our next trip out to Bonshaw with the kids. There was only one thing that I would have changed about our trip and that was that we should have stayed at Bonshaw the entire time we were on PEI.

"Best experience at a B&B”
Date of review: Jul 22, 2010
This B&B is the very best we have ever stayed at. Dave and Sharon made the whole experience extraordinary in every way. The breakfasts were "brunches" prepared with fresh, local produce and the food presentation was elegant. We stayed for a week and the menu was different every day, as well as the linens and tableware. The Mayflower suite was very cozy and comfortable for a couple. The location is ideal for touring the island and very convenient to Charlottetown.
Dave and Sharon were eager to assist in planning your day, offering very helpful advice and enjoyed sharing experiences with all the guests.
The hospitality was so wonderful we felt like we were visiting old friends. We would very much like to return to PEI, and there is no doubt that we would stay at Bonshaw again.

Sharon and Dave know exactly what to do to make you feel like you're at home away from home. Their place was absolutely stunning, the view spectacular, and the food flawless, not to mention the friendly hosts! We felt like we had known them for years, like old family friends.
We were really impressed as well by their commitment to local products. Upon checking into our cottage, we discovered locally-made soaps, shampoos and creams in the bathroom, which made the trip back to Montreal with us!
The food was fabulous as well, with local eggs, bacon and sausage for breakfast along with fresh fruit from around. Sharon's cooking is easily restaurant-level, but with the comfort of dining in one's own home.
We had brought along our 2 dogs with us on our whirlwind trip (one large dog and one small), and Sharon and Dave were so accommodating. The dogs fully enjoyed their romps on the spacious grounds of the property, and were welcomed by Sharon and Dave with no hesitation. Our little guy liked keeping Sharon company as she tended to her gardens!
The care and time that Sharon and Dave put into their cooking, their home, and their gorgeous gardens was very evident, and made our stay feel like home...only better!
We look forward to coming back, hopefully before we return to live on the West Coast.
Sincerely,

"We had a great time in PEI, and one of the highlights was definitely our stay at Bonshaw Breezes. This was our first B&B experience, and it has definitely warmed us to stay at B&B's again. Sharon and Dave are extremely welcoming and friendly, with plenty of recommendations for restaurants and attractions if asked (including a huge assortment of brochures/coupons/maps etc. in our room). Our room (the lady-slipper suite) was greatly spacious and well appointed, and the grounds and gardens were beautiful and well kept. We only stayed two days on the island, but both breakfasts were outstanding (you definitely won't leave the table hungry). Bonshaw was very centrally located and easy to find. We chose this spot because of all the great reviews here, and they're definitely accurate. Bonshaw Breezes made our stay in PEI a great and memorable one. We'll definitely stay there again if on the island, and highly recommend it to anyone. Thanks again Sharon and Dave!"

Bonshaw Breezes was everything we wanted in a bed and breakfast. Friendly people but we had our own space. Great food, Sharon went out of her way to accomodate my special diet. Picture perfect setting! Great value for the money. We travelled the Maritimes and this was truely a highlight. They were very helpful with trying to get on the ferry and let us use their computer.

"Thanks so much. Loved it! We really enjoyed our stay here. Breakfasts were great but more than that you made us feel at home, gave us great ideas of places to stay, see and eat. Thanks for giving us the Royal Treatment!

"It was our first B&B experience and we would encourage everyone to experience the special little touches that Sharon and Dave provide for their guests. From the moment we arrived untill we left, we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The outdoor hot tub, the comfortable queen size bed, the dinner and delicious breakfast, was just to name a few. We are so glad we stayed at Bonshaw Breezes for my husband's surprise birthday getaway. It was fantastic!"
