We thought we had stayed in some excellent B&B's in Canada and the British Isles but  Bonshaw Breezes by far out shone them all! The owners Sharon and David were wonderful hosts. They recommended some interesting culinary spots as well as numerous island attractions making for a most enjoyable vacation. The breakfasts were tastefully prepared and beautifully presented. The bedrooms are very nicely decorated and spotless. My husband and I are hoping to make an annual trip for some serious "R&R" to PEI and will most definitely book again with Sharon and David at Bonshaw Breezes.

Room Tip: Every room is unique and perfectlycomfortable

"Sharon and Dave, We have stayed in B&B's in England, Scotland, and Alberta and some were very nice-but in our experience Bonshaw Breezes is a "Five Star" The breakfast's were out of this world. We enjoyed the opportunity to discuss the island and it's attractions. Golfing with Dave was so much fun! Thank you for a memorable stay-and you can bet we'll be back. Thank You!

My wife and I arrived at the Morning Glory Suite immediately after our wedding dance in Charlottetown and provided a relaxing start to our honeymoon before heading on a cruise to Alaska.

As part of the snuggles and bubbles package, we had a delicious home cooked meal in the evening before our departure from the nearby Charlottetown Airport. After a busy wedding day and a late arrival at the B&B, we slept through breakfast unfortunately. We look forward to enjoying the full B&B experience for our one year anniversary.

The Bonshaw Breezes is perfect for couples with amenities like an outdoor hot tub and in-suite jacuzzi. Sharon and Dave were great hosts and we look forward to staying at the Breezes in the future!

Room Tip: Book early!

My husband and I toured NB, PEI, and NS for our honeymoon and Bonshaw was probably the favorite place that we stayed. I guarantee you will not have more helpful hosts anywhere you stay: Dave and Sharon were kind, helpful but not too in-your-face about helping you plan your stay. They gave us a great map, good directions, and lent us beach chairs, cooler, and towels when we headed to the beach. Additionally, the breakfasts each day were fantastic and varied - Sharon is a truly excellent cook! At first we were intimidated because you eat with the other guests at breakfast, but it got to be a lot of fun because we shared tips each morning about great places to go.
The only thing people should know before they book is that this is NOT a historic bed and breakfast. I think from the website people maybe think otherwise, but it's just good to know ahead of time. The property consists of two buildings, the main house which is where the Mayflower suite (by far, the best room there) is and where the proprietors live, and then the secondary building that has two other rooms. The rooms are all cozy - the bathrooms are good size and everything. It's just not a historic property; although the property itself is incredibly lovely and the views are very beautiful.
The property is in the middle of the country, but it's very central to everything. I liked that it was a great location to explore the entire island, since we were interested in seeing Cavendish and Charlottetown and everything in between.
Overall, it's a great great place to stay - we even extended our stay because it was so wonderful, and cut short our time in Halifax. Great decision!

We had the pleasure of staying at Bonshaw Breezes for a long weekend in their Morning Glory Suite. The location is just few minute off the main street and about 15 mins. from Charlottetown, very quite, with lovely views of the rolling hills.
The spacious living room opens up to a deck with the same views. The Morning Glory Suite is located next to the living room, with great furnishings, a huge bathroom with separate shower and jacuzzi bathtub. In addition, there's an outdoor hot tub on the ground floor, for use by all guests.
But best of all is the daily chaning breakfast. On our whole three week trip in NS, PEI and NL, this was the best breakfast.
Hostts Sharon and Dave are really nice and helpful with local information. They get you into the best restaurants in Charlottetown and have helpful advice on hand.

First time ever at a B&B and to PEI (and slightly nervous about it). Never felt more relaxed on a vacation. Bonshaw Breezes was like walking through the door of a family member. Sharon's breakfasts and Dave's coffee greeted us every morning and set a beautiful pace for the day (despite the rain every day). Indescribably picturesque and quaint, we will return with our children to Bonshaw Breezes next year! Comfortable, peaceful, and beautiful. There are no words to really express the quality and care they put into each and every guest! Thanks, Sharon and Dave for an amazing experience! See you next year!

Staying in a Bed and Breakfast when visiting Prince Edward Island is really the way to go. As far as Bed and Breakfasts go, I could not recommend Bonshaw Breezes more. Here's a breakdown of what I thought was great:

1. We stayed in the Mayflower suite, which is located in a two suite cottage that sits next to the main house. The room was clean and well decorated, with a comfortable bed. Although we didn't use it, there is a kitchen in this suite (I also happened to notice that it is fully stocked with kitchenware). The TV is a little smallish, but you aren't here to watch TV are you? It's a great room. I never saw the others so I can't comment on them.

2. The breakfasts were terrific. The hosts try to use local ingredients whenever possible, so not only is everything fresh, but you get to sample what the local produce and foods. The breakfasts were big enough that we needed no lunch.

3. The hosts, Dave and Sharon, are very friendly. I'm a bit curmudgeonly, but conversation comes very easily in this house. They clearly enjoy having many different people from all over sit at their table. And they are very helpful if you are trying to decide what to do or how to get there.

4. The house is in a great location in the hills. Beautiful grounds.

So there you have it. Stay at Bonshaw Breezes. I loved it, I'm sure you will too. *This review also appears on Yelp.

My husband and I stayed 3 nights at Bonshaw Breezes during a recent visit to PEI. During the booking I was concerned that it wasn't close enough to the "action" of Charlottetown or Cavendish but decided to book it anyways because it seemed like such a nice place and had great reviews. After staying there I realized the location was perfect, central to a lot of different attractions.

We arrived around 9 o'clock after taking the ferry over and Sharon welcomed us and gave us a quick tour and pointed out everything we needed to know. We stayed in the Mayflower Suite which was very spacious which was nice because we stayed so many nights. It was like an apartment.

Breakfast was excellent. It was nice that the menu is put up the night before so if you have any concerns about a certain dish you can let Sharon know ahead of time. Great conversation was had every day. Sharon said they have breakfast at 8:30 because people sit around and talk for so long, if she had it any later it would be Noon before anybody got up from the table and she was right. Each day we all shared stories until about 10!

They were very helpful with suggestions on how to spend our day. They also gave great recommendations for places to eat around the island which was very handy.

I read the average review and was a little surprised at what people had to complain about. The Mayflower suite, which we stayed in, is the room that has the bed up against the wall. At first I was concerned that it would be a little inconvenient but it wasn't a problem what so ever.

It clearly states on their website that they offer laundry services. A simple "Hey we were hoping to do some laundry while we were here" worked for us. They pointed us to the washer and dryer and provided soap and dryer sheets.

We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

A recent stay with my wife at Bonshaw Breezes exceeded every expectation thanks to outstanding hosts, amazing views, and more.

Sharon and Dave, who own and run Bonshaw, cheerfully greeted us after a late arrival and continued with the great hospitality throughout the rest of our stay. At the delicious breakfasts they introduced us to all the guests and helped fuel great conversation, avoiding the awkward moments I've sometimes seen at other B&Bs. They were also very helpful making recommendations specific to their guests on places to go, things to do, and what to eat. I couldn't have hoped for better hosts.

In addition to the great hospitality, the location of Bonshaw was spectacular. The B&B sits on top of a hill with unobstructed views of the PEI landscape. Fortunately getting to Charlottetown and the other communities on the island was so convenient it allowed us to return in the afternoons so we could sit outside and relax before heading to dinner.

The list could go on with details, but it's worth mentioning the cleanliness of the accommodations as well as the amenities such as the wireless internet, hot tub, horseshoes, and so on.

I would highly recommend a stay at Bonshaw Breezes. I wish our stay would have been longer and can only hope to return.

When we booked our trip to PEI, we decided to split time between Bonshaw Breezes and another hotel in Charlottetown. After our first night at Bonshaw, we already wished we had booked our whole trip there. Bonshaw Breezes was by far the best bed and breakfast I have stayed at.

Sharon and Dave were wonderful hosts. They happily greeted us despite a late-night arrival. Sharon's breakfasts were incredible, and the couple did a great job of facilitating conversation among all the guests. Every morning they helped us plan out our day, offering suggested itineraries and booking dinner reservations for us.

Throughout our stay, Bonshaw Breezes offered a great haven for relaxation and rejuvenation. Situated on top of the rolling hills of PEI, the B&B offered my husband and I a place to read and relax while overlooking the beautiful views of the island. It was a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of NYC.

Our accommodations were immaculate. The rooms were tastefully decorated and inviting. Every evening we were welcomed home with a new vase of flowers, fresh from the Bonshaw Breeze grounds.

I thought not staying in Charlottetown would be bit of a disadvantage. However, Bonshaw Breezes is a short drive from Charlottetown as well as Cavendish, Victoria by the Sea, and other tourist stops. As I mentioned, we wish we had stayed at Bonshaw Breezes for our entire trip!

I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone vacationing in PEI!

My husband and I came to P.E.I. for one last holiday before the arrival of our first child...and we couldn't have chosen a better spot to stay during our time on the Island. Bonshaw was a great spot to stay as the B&B was in a beautiful spot, it's close to Charlottetown, and the town is central to drive to other areas of the Island.

Sharon and Dave were excellent hosts. The breakfasts were consistently amazing, and provided a great start to the day. We really enjoyed getting to know the other guests too - Sharon and Dave created a fun, comfortable environment. We didn't do too much advance planning, and after breakfast each day Sharon or Dave sat with my husband and I and helped us map out the day (including details like spots to stop for photos, and where to go for lunch and dinner). And: Every day, there was a new batch of fresh flowers in our room...so many details were taken care of.

We've stayed in loads of B&Bs, and this one definitely has set the standard for those we'll stay at in the future.

Room Tip:We stayed in the Morning Glory suite, which was gorgeous and had a private deck with a beautiful vista!

When we were planning our trip to P.E.I. we did a lot of on-line research before we decided on a place to stay. The moment I stumbled on the Bonshaw Breezes web site, I said to my wife "honey, I've found THE place to stay". Let me tell you, we were not disappointed. Everything was as described or better. Dave and Sharon were outstanding hosts, and even though we arrived a couple of weeks before the traditional P.E.I. tourist season, they were able to tell us about all of the secret places to visit on the Island to get an authentic East Coast experience.
The breakfasts were amazing, and the traditional lobster supper was an extra special treat for us. We're lobster experts now, and can't wait to show off our newly acquired knowledge to our friends back home.
The room we stayed in was the "Morning Glory". Pictures can't do it justice. You will just have to go and see for yourself! If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful place to stay, this is your best bet on the Island.
