Upon arrival at Bonshaw Breezes B&B, breakfast menus for the following day are posted.  Each menu features the freshest of local ingredients and highlights local partners.                 

Each day begins with a variety of juices. Yogurts and cereals are available at the breakfast bar, along with raisins, cranberries, flax, bran etc.

For the fruit course, a fruit platter, salad, kabobs, parfait, fruit compote or something equally as healthy and tantalizing follows. PEI's plentiful, variety of fresh fruits make for delicious fruit courses. Don Northcott's fruit and berries from his Clyde River Orchard make fresh fruit a special addition to each breakfast.

A variety of homemade baking from breads, muffins, scones  and more let's you choose your favorites. Unprocessed and unpackaged ingredients are used wherever possible in all Sharon's baking which is done from scratch. Just let us know and we will lovingly prepare diabetic or low glycemic muffins and breads for you. Local honey purchased from Ficza's Honey in Canoe Cove and Maple Syrup from A Little Gift Maple Syrup in Bonshaw, are featured prominently in Sharon's homemade breads and biscuits. 

Main courses vary from pancakes, french toast, soufflés, frittatas, quiches and eggs benedict to waffles, crepes, omlettes and more. The fresh eggs, used daily,  from MacDonalds farm, just down the road are unllike anything you purchase at a regular supermarket. Dishes are rotated daily and even with lengthy stays, every day’s menu is a delightfully different dining experience. Island bacon, sausage and ham from Steerman's quality meats add to your dining pleasure, for those who enjoy some additional protein to kick start their day. Finally, what would an island breakfast be without PEI homefries made from Potts potatoes purchased just down the Bonshaw Road.

For those of you who enjoy something a little lighter…try a smoothie. They are available upon request provided you let us know the evening before.

PEI preserves from the Prince Edward Island Preserve Company and real Island maple syrup from A Little Gift Maple products make breakfast a highly anticipated experience. Children are always considered with menu items like chocolate chip pancakes, breakfast tortilla's etc Low fat, vegetarian, high protein, lactose intolerant, health smart, diabetic and those with food allergies are given every consideration. Breakfast is a healthy, wholesome and social experience you won't forget.
